'Scotland's Ronaldo' Leads NYC Scotland to Win

By Aaron Cheris (@AaronHowie)  Prior to the start of this year’s Cosmos Copa, NYC Scotland president Colin Reid declared, “We have Scotland’s Ronaldo on our team.”   In Saturday’s Cosmos Copa opener against NYC Antigua, Robby Weir lived up to his president’s hype.   In the opener, Weir scored five goals for NYC Scotland as they blew past NYC Antigua and Barbuda 13-0 in Group G action.

2015 Group Stage Preview: Group E

By Aaron Cheris Group E is going to be a fight to the finish at this year's Cosmos Copa. A few teams in this group have come close to capturing a Cosmos Copa championship, but nobody has finished the job. At the end of group play, two teams will again have to wait until next year.  NYC Ireland

2015 Group Stage Preview: Group G

By Aaron Cheris Group G in this year's Cosmos Copa is one to look out for. This group holds last year's champion, a newcomer, and two teams that are trying to recover from struggles in previous tournaments.  NYC Gambia 2014 belonged to NYC Gambia. The Gambians became the first African team to hoist the Cosmos Copa championship trophy last season, and they believe they can do it again this year.
